"Find Rest" is a reminder of the importance of creating a rhythm where individuals can find support, rejuvenation, and peace amidst life's challenges. It reminds us that we are created as beings who need to rest before we can accomplish God’s calling in our lives. And so we set aside striving and rest in the grace and love of our Savior.

We cannot love others well when we are in a hurry. We cannot follow Jesus and grow in Him well when we don’t have rest. Our capacity to rest enables us to live up to the life that God has called us to. Busyness is the enemy of spiritual formation and holiness.

Rest is built right into the gospel message. There is nothing we can do to achieve right standing before God. We can only rest in His grace and mercy, His love, forgiveness, and righteousness.

Rest allows us to grow, to heal, and to gain perspective.
Rest changes everything.

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

– Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)
